Alan Parks is the Director of Sales for Maine and New Hampshire for the Group Benefits Division of Baystate Financial Services.  He is also the president of the Maine Association of Health Underwriters and has been a board member for the past three years.  Prior to Baystate, Alan owned his own brokerage, Integrated Benefit Solutions, in Portland, and prior to that managed both P&C and life and health departments for a number of smaller agencies in Maine.  He is a licensed life and health consultant.

Alan focuses on financial modeling and consumer directed health plans as a way of controlling employer costs, and is a leading advocate of self-insured and partially self-insured group medical plans.

Alan is a graduate of Bowdoin College and a board member of many non-profit organizations in the Portland area. He coaches youth football and baseball, and is a 16 year veteran of the Portland Rugby Football Club.

Alan lives in Portland with his two sons.
